Honda in 1964 had an idea to build their first 4 stroke outboard motor, which at the time seemed unfeesable due to the power-to-weight ratio.

However honda did not give up and they continued to build their 4 stroke outboards despite what everyone said

in 1993 Honda was the first company to clear boden lake regulations - the worlds first exhaust gas regulations.

Today, Honda’s iconic silver outboards include exclusive modernisations that keep the waters they wield as pure as that very first idea… 50 years ago.
